looked at the ss today..opened the hood to check fluids and noticed fresh anti freeze spilled on the battery. asked him about it and he said he was just topping off fluids..no biggie. looked it over. it is a nice car. took it for a test drive, about half way thru i hear the serpentine belt start to squeal. got it to his house, pop the hood and smoke starts coming out. (oh great) i looked and noticed the water pump leaking pretty bad, and showed the owner. he said he doesnt drive it far (less than 2 miles to work) so the car never gets warm enough for him to see. i told him i couldnt give him his asking price. he told me what i could do, i told him and he said he couldnt take less than this certain amount for the car...i shook his hand and wished him the best of luck selling it...so he texts me like half an hour later and said if he got the water pump fixed would i buy it. i said i would think about it, he said how about he fixes the waterpump and he will sell it for a certain number under his asking price would i buy it. i said yes. so he made an appointment for monday to get the water pump fixed, so ill try to get down there sometime this coming week to snag it up

I wouldn't pick up a car that NEVER gets to operating temperature. It's very bad to drive a car short distances without letting it fully warm up. That car might have more problems than that water pump.

im not exactly dumb when it comes to cars..i took it for a nice long about 30 minute drive. got everything good and up to temp. and everything checked out ok. one of the mufflers is a bit loud which is from the car never getting to temp to burn out the moisture...but thats a simple fix

oh i agree black is the best color...it will take some time and finess to get her looking like a black mirror...its mostly there, but i hate swirl marks. and it has some scratches here and there...but i have all the time in the worl to get it the way i want it

also the guy i got it from got the "muffler" as he called it fixed....turns out the resonator rotted out, from not being driven enough to burn the moisture out of the exhaust...it was retarded loud when i test drove it...now you cant even hear its running its that quiet....motor is crazy quiet under the hood.
