new guy in chicago suburbs
hey everyone, i figured since ive already asked questions of some members in the detailing section i might as well stick around as im more than certain that i will be responsible for some changes to the 06' ss over the time im driving it.
long story short, my cars dead, brothers deployed, letting me borrow his mc until i enlist or buy another car ... whichever comes first ... hoping for the enlistment but well see how things work out with the final college class i need for my bachelors and all ... anyhow ...
he has said that he wants exhaust, and or intake done, and the blacked out headlight and tail light assemblies ... so the first thing im going to do is the tail lights/ 3rd light / side signals and reverse lights ... all of this work i guess is payment in return for adding some miles to the car during his deployment
in the very short time ive had the ss, it has scared me half to death at least a dozen times and nearly killed me twice on the drive home because i was just not expecting the torque steer while merging on the highways coming home ...
whenever i do some work that warrants pictures i promise to post them and thanks for letting me troll around despite not being the "technical" owner of the car ... i say im babysitting it but caretaker sounds a whole lot less childish i guess

well once i finish the class needed for general education requirements ... i will have a bach. in studio art with a minor in sociology ... i have no intention of looking for a job with the degree and if things work out as ive been led to believe by a few friends in the service i will be able to join the air force and go straight for officer training school or the army and do something similiar ...
thanks everybody

Welcome!
I know what you mean about the oversteering you are experincing when you hit it . It's a lot of power for a front wheel drive that causes it. I've learned to always keep both hands on the wheel when I punch it otherwise, yes the car will pull. It was a bit scary at first, but I've gotten used to it. Hopefully it work out the same for you.
Enjoy the ride!
