I'm introducing myself as requested. I am planning on buying a 07 Monte Carlo SS very soon and wish to learn the ropes so I know what I'm buying. I'd rather know what to look for than make a mistake and wish I hadn't, as I've done lots of that in my lifetime.
Reading through the posts on this forum shows me I have much to learn, I hope I can keep up.

 

Lower miles is always good, check it out for rust. If the unit has a aftermarket stereo system in it that will create problems Chevrolet runs all the up date stuff and entry thru the radio so if it doesn't have a stock unit in there is problems. Ignition switch can be an issue in these everyone has all kinds of things on the key ring and this creates a problem overtime with the switch. that's why they went to push button starts.
Also the garage kept cars are better as the sun and elements haven't take a toll on it seems like the door weather strip at the window is an issue and will not seal the water out.
You can't get original replacement for that.
