Whats up guys???? My name is Jim, im from Philly, the greatest city on the planet haha...Im 20 years old and have an04 Monte SS. Im pretty much an electronics guy, i have a carPC and a pretty nice system, im not all about BUMPIN BASS, i just like quality sound. I checked this forum out back in like dec when I was thinkin on the MC, so after a long and cold philly winter of doing installs i figured id join here and see if i can share and gain some knowledge. I'll have some pics up sooner or later.

Scc/Chris: By Car PC I'm thinking that he means he put together a computer specifically for his car. One would use this to store media like MP3's... Movies.... etc on the computer, so he could access them while in his car. Car computers can also be helpful for things like GPS,hands free phone communication, etc. They're usually put together with either some kind of handheld trackball, or a touch-screen LCD for navigation.

 

flynhghR you pretty much got the idea, i got a 7 inch touchscreen mounted in my dash and my the actual computer is in my trunk. I use it for GPS, Mp3s, Videos, DVDs, and bluetooth for cell phones. Its capiable of alot more, like weather and other media. I've never seen anyone put me in a monte and the forum i checked out covers US and Canada, so i had to work real hard to make the install look clean. Well im just glad to be here and cant wait to get to postin

 

Cant wait to see a picure of this 'carPC' I have never seen one before....
