new guy
hi my names travis been veiwing the forum for a couple months thought id introduce myself. i was born just north of tampa bay florida and i will have lived here all 23 years of my life come friday.
me and my lady recently lost our 2000 saturn SC1 due to being rear ended by a ford ranger, the car was totaled and we got a chance at this 96 monte Z34 with the 3.4 DOHC, the car was in pretty bad shape when we got it, the shop we bought it from has realy messed the car up in some bad ways, ive now had to tackle 3 fuel pumps in 4 months, 2 batterys, it looks like itll need an alternator soon, had some shorting wires that ive fixed, complete cooling system overhual, and for some reason the #10 fuse for the inside battery feed was gone and when replaced kills the battery(DVOM tests show short to ground) or possibly BCM malfunction or something, i cut the mem power wire to the radio to rule it out although the clock used to stay on permenantly an now dosent. found a little aftermarket SIM card powered tracking device under the dash(went into the garbage). lots of stuff needs to be done expect to see some new threads if a good search doesnt turn up results,
the car currently travels 40 miles a day most days, all too often a trip home on a flatbed towtruck, then work on it threw the night and shes back on the road again, i always say the more you replace now the less youll worry later
before i go is this a 4th gen or 5th gen?
thanks for listenin and see you on the forum
