The New Guy
Hiya there everyone,
To introduce myself, my name is Hunter. I am from Iowa and made the down payment my '02 Monte Carlo SS from my Dad when I turned 16. I have been driving her for 4 years now, and she has been a great ride. (no pun intended)
I have visited this site many times in the past year, but I am feeling that I need to rise above "lurker" status, and try and help out and maybe find out some new things about my "baby".
Thanks,
~H
PS: Before you all ask, my SS is Flame Red... Hence the reason I named her Cherry

Hi Hunter, and Welcome to the Monte Carlo Family.
We look forward to seeing pictures of your Cherry Monte Carlo...
How long has your Monte Carlo been in the family ?
How many miles on your Monte ? Any major problems ?
Have you done any mod's ?
How's life in Iowa ?
What do you do with computer's ? ie; Micro Computer Specialist ?
It's great that you became a member & we will be looking forward to your future posts.
Wish you safe/fun/trouble`free miles.

Thanks Kid,
The Monte has been in my family since it was brand new so I would say about 9 years now.
As for miles... Gosh, I dont even want to think about it right now... I am around 143500, and 20K of that was put on in the past 8 months so she has been around the block a few times.
As for major problems, about a 6 months ago I had to replace the fuel pump, and then there was a bit of an experience of a Ford Focus slamming on his brakes in front of me so... I have had the front bumper and hood replaced in the last 2 months.f
I have not had a chance to modify the car at all. Most of my time with the car I have been using it to get from point A to point B, but now that I have a bit more free time, I am starting to look into changing a few things around.
Life in Iowa right now is getting extremely cold. Otherwise if we could just get the people who are poor drivers off the road, that would be amazing
As for the MCS title, I currently work for a college here in Northeast Iowa, and with that I get a fancy title. Pretty much I am your average IT professional, spending time going from class to class making sure the computers are running correctly. (I'm not going to complain, because when I am done checking on the computers I have a nice comfy chair back at my desk to sit in)
Again, thank you for welcoming me into the forums and I will try and get a few pictures of the car in the next week or two.
