Hi... Just wanted to say hi and introduce myself. First let me say that I come from a family of MonteCarlo Lovers. My dad currently has a 71SS that he's had since he was a teen. My younger brother currently has a 2007SS which he brought brand new. I have always been a fan of the 5th gen Monty. I know probably not the best generation for them, but I can remember being a young teen and thinking they were BA... Always did love the lines of them.
I found this little girl sitting in a reitred couples driveway dead. I inquired about it and after a little smooth talking made an agreement to take it for $500.00 if I could get it running and go. A quick test with a new battery and then a quick trip to the junkyard for a new Altenator and success... 500.00 MonteCarlo. After some TLC and some wrench time it's starting to turn out alright.
It a 3.1 with about 100,000km, and I doubt I'll do any extensive engine swaps...She runs great and turns the occasional head. Sooner or later i'll pick up something that can keep up with pops 71 but until then.... DON"T CALL HER A LUMINA !
