New gal here!
Just bought a 2006 LS, black with 42,000 miles on it. I traded a 2000 Volkswagen Passat for it and was a member of an awesome message board for Passats. I'm hoping that this site will be just as great as that one was!
So, anyway.....hi!

Welcome Hardrocker gal to the Monte Carlo forum. This is the FRIENDLIEST and IMO the BEST Monte Carlo forum on the web, as there are several. Please use the search engine for quick answers to most all of your ???. Don't hesitate to jump in with a new thread. Like I always tell the youngsters I work with, the ONLY stupid question is the one you don't ask!

Thanks for the welcome guys! And yes, I plan on some mods. My car has hubcaps ([:'(]) so wheels are high up on the list. And the stock stereo SUCKS! To put it mildly! So that will have to be replaced as well.
I did some of my own work on the Volkswagen. I did some brake work on it recently and all the common maintenance items.

RE: New gal here!
Hello hardrocker! Good to hear of another new member with a 2006! I have an 06 3LT myself.
I've already upgraded the stereo using PAC's factory-match plugin Line output convertor, and have a couple of JL 10's pushin 800 watts. I'm looking into getting some 6.5's for the rear deck, see if it's possible to replace the stocks. Just something for a little more clarity in the midrange and high's. Eventually I'd like an aftermarket stereo with bluetooth (for my MP3 phone), but that'll take awhile.
So welcome to the forum, and happy new year in your new Monte!
