Hello Derek; congratulations on finishing high school. A SS Monte Carlo is a very special car. If you take care of it, it will give you many years of service and who knows maybe you will be able to show your kids your first car. You will most likely have many cars in your life time but the first one is always special and because it is a SS Monte even better yet. Welcome to the forum and here you will get helpful advice on keeping your car going. To deal with the stains you spoke of. Try a soft to medium nylon bristle brush and simple green. It will remove most stains. Try using it 50/50 with water first and then full strength if your first attempt doesn't work. It is a great cleaner for every part of your car that will not cause stains.
I am sorry to hear that your dad is ill. I remember being 18 even though it was many years ago. At this age dealing with parents can be difficult. Cherish them both because you don't know how long you will have them. They also are full of knowledge and advice and they love you. Don't forget your mom too because I am sure she is also having a rough time. Gregg

Thanks for all the welcomes

@Mouse, Thanks for the tips on the stains. My grandparents own a car detailing shop (Cleaning cars, rust proofing, window tint. etc.) I worked there for a short while. Maybe I can get a little of the products I used there to remove them if the simple green doesnt work.
