Default New to forum...need ideas.

Hi all,
I'm new to the forum and the monte carlo scene. First of all, I'm the proud owner of a 2002 monte SS. It's competion yellow and....was....pretty much flawless.....untill today. My car was backed into by a GMC Envoy, resulting in some pretty moderate front end damage. the collision ruined the hood and front bumper cover. So now I'm in need of some ideas to replace these parts....aftermarket is always best So pretty much I'm asking, whats hot in the world of monte carlo body parts? Not looking for anything too extreme...just something to turn some heads. I've alreadydone a few mods such as ZZP shift kit, TB screen delete and gutted airbox. By the way...this forum is awesome and I have pictures of my car in the gallery.

Thanks,
Zach

Well, first of all, Welcome to the forum! Glad to have you on board!

Second, sorry to hear about the damage! Hope you find all the great rescources and knowledge this forum has to offer.

Why u looking aftermarket? Shouldn't their insurance pay it all?

Oh, and the front bumper cover you might be out of luck, most aftermarket or body kit-type things are add-ons... not full replacements. But you could get lucky and find one.... I can't say I've seen one, unfortunately. I myself had a 2003 LS... You already have the ground efx... whatever u do, if a body shop does the replacement, and it's a full replacement, make sure they're paying for new GFX even if your old ones are fine. Then you can just re-use the old one and sell the new one unpainted!

I work right next door to a body shop that contracts exclusively for a top Toyota dealer in So Cal.

If you can find one of these exclusive contractors, they can repair your car to almost perfect specs.

They make so much money from the dealers, that they tend to be relatively cheap when it comes to side cashjobs.

well I made out pretty good...my uncle has been a professional body man for a number of years...and the insurance company is willing to get an estimate of the damage and cut me a check...thats why I'm looking for aftermarket parts...plus what better time to upgrade some cosmetic stuff! I really like the looks of that MPD Inc. hood....thanks for your input!
