New to the forum from Minnesota
I've been through a 73 Nova, and 94 Camaro as hot hods to now having an 83 Monte Carlo ss. The G-body had grown on me since seeing the grand National in Fast 5. So for my next whip I picked a 80's Monte. oh and I just turned 21 btw.
I've had this car for about three months now and have replaced the differential, brake line, wheels, lowered, tlc, and alot of waxing and washing even though the paint is shot.
The problem with my Nova was the body it was rusty underneath and was hiding quiet a bit of bondo. I wanted nothing to do with that so I sold it and bought a Camaro with a solid body. The problem with this car was I stuck about 4 grand into rebuilding 6 speed, clutch, suspension, dropped motor and re-did all gaskets,opti-spark, water pump, and so on. I grew to hate the car after working on it so much and was still just a fourth gen. I'm more into older cars. Sold that and bought the Monte it's solid, older,m and easy to work on. I'm thinking this is the car I want to keep. Just sucks getting 13mpg highway.
