Default New to the forum

Hello MC fans! Name’s Lute. Almost hit the 40 yo mark. I don’t have too many hobbies. I like to fix and build things...and make things better. I use this forum for great solutions to a lot of my car problems. This is the first car that I want to invest in. I don’t cheap out on repairs and try to do other upgrades or repairs if I’m already in the position to do so. I only take my car to the shop if it requires something like an alignment or of I’d need an expensive specialty tool. Everything is pretty much stock but features details are below.

‘03 SS 3.8L
261,XXX miles
K&N air filter (not cold air)
20” Viscera wheels wrapped in 245/35/ZR20 tires
painted calipers red
struts and shocks painted white
Kenwood 9793S 6.95” DVD w/ Apple CarPlay
JBL 3 way 6X9 rear speakers
JBL602 C component system mounted on from doors .(6 1/2” woofer w/ separate tweeter)
Optima battery
LED fog lights and headlights

(have but not yet installed)
Stinger reserve battery
2 1000 watt Memphis Class D amplifiers
2 Fosgate HX2 12” in ported box

Thanks for all the support over the years! This forum has been a great help Keeping my MC on the road.

Welcome..

Hey, how do the LED headlights work.. Its been about 8 years since I looked into them and back then they didnt project light well.. Always liked the way they looked but didnt like the low amount of light they put onto the road..

Smile Welcome to MCF, Lute!

Welcome to Monte Carlo Forum, Lute
You have done a lot of upgrades good to see a well maintained ride with that kind of miles.

I first got Xentech HIDs and had serveral problems with either a bright, or low beam, bulb blowing. Since the LED I’m extremely satisfied. The color looks good and provides a lot of bright light....wish my low beams were as effective. They are some ultra bright bulbs but not the bluish color, but still work well. Since replacing I get and error on the message borard sometimes about “high beam out” but they all work. LEDs are a lot less hassle!
