Default New from cin

Hey everyone , my name is james and I'm a new user but I've been using this forum for help on my 00' ls . I would just like to thank everyone. I've learned a lot from here. In the future when I'm ready to do some mods, this forum will certainly come in handy. But as of right now a strange thing happened the other night, the check engine light came on and when I was going from a stop it got real jerky when it would shift up. Naturally me not knowing a lot about cars. I immediately pulled over to check the trans fluid, it was fine so I stopped by my buddies on my way home to use his code scanner but the check engine light went off. And it hasn't acted up since though its only been driven 5 miles since. Any ideas on what it could be? Any help will be greatly appreciated

Welcome back to the Forum!
Glad we could be of service! It might have been just a glitch? im sure we have all experienced similar incidents.... Unless it becomes an issue in the future.... Chalk it up to being a glitch!

Oh okay good! My favorite glitch is sometimes when I turn the turn signal on it won't beep or flash I have to turn the hazards on then off to reset it? Then it works fine. My explanation is my car has a mind of its own and doesn't want to go that way.(does it for both left, and right indicators). Other then that love the car .

Welcome!
As far as the hazard/turnsignal switch, its all in the hazard switch, usually turning the hazards on or tapping the dash can be a temporary solution, or just change the switch. Its very simple, and you can find them really cheap off RockAuto Parts Catalog
I believe its like $20 for a acdelco from there, alot cheaper than most auto stores.

Oh okay I was wondering if all that happened when I put in a after market CD player. I used a harness that allowed me to keep the R.A.P and display but not the chimes . It never did it before that.
