Hello,
My name is Jesus Guerra, I am 27 years old born in Mexico raised in San Diego California. I am a U.S Army soldier stationed in FT Bliss El Paso. I have always wanted a Monte Carlo ever since I seen the movie Training Day lol. Beside it being a great movie I loved the 79' MC. I finally purchased one and have many plans on fixing it up. It will definitely be a project car. I look forward to learning from this forum. Have a blessed day MC lovers.

Thumbs up You're Welcome!

You're Welcome `Jesus,
How do you like military life ? Are you going to make it a career ? What's your rank ? MOS ?

What's the shape of your 79 Monte ? Is it a V8 ?
Look forward to seeing it and what you want to do to it ?
Good Luck

I love the military life, since I am single and no kids I can afford to spare the pain of not seeing my family. I do plan making it a career. I am currently just an E-5 buck sergeant, been in 5 years. I am a 15R which is an Apache helicopter mechanic.
I actually have a 1986 4.3 v6 LS. I love the low rider look so that's what I will be going for, I'm not too much into power, more of a looks type of guy haha.

Hi `Jesus and thanks for your reply....A buck SGT is better then a E-1 You have a great MOS that's good for the military + in civilian life Wish you a safe career & good promotions.

Yes, I thought from your 1st post containing the movie with that super 79 is what you got, but your 4th Gen is a super choice....Do you have a place & tools to work on your Monte ?
Good Luck on getting it the way you want it to be. How low do you want to `go... I love the below 4th Gen Monte
