Yeah it is a D.E. #3 SS!
The last MC I owned was a brand new 88 SS with the same colors. That car was ripe with problems and I had some bad luck with it so we sold it after only a year. Recently my youngest child got her license so it was time to add another car to the driveway. I wish the DMV trolls would have been working Friday because we are all anxious to drive it.
I have already found a few minor issues I need to work on. I spent part of Turkey day reading the manual that came with it. I'm not used to having all these features.

Which Dale did you get, the 02' or 04' like me.
Was it previously modded or completely stock, like mine haha.

I believe it is legit. Where are they individually numbered or is it part of the VIN?
