Post Need Help!!! Siezed engine

So I've been shopping around for a while now. My 2001 monte carlo ss 3.8 engine is siezed so I've been looking for another used one. Im getting price from 700-3000
Does anyone know if the impala engine with fit exaclty like the original one? I was told the 3.8 impala, grand prix and buick fit the car but im not sure if i have to do any mods to it... Any help would be greatly appreciated.
2001 monte carlo ss 3.8 not supercharged

He should be fine if he's just swapping the motor. His current PCM and wiring harness will work.

So it's just like a plug and play right? Just remove the engine and put the other one back in with no mods? I need to get my car running asap but im looking at an impala engine for 500$ with 93,xxx miles

Yes that should be all that is needed. All of your wiring will stay with the car, so you are just swapping the motor, plugging everything back in, and starting.

One thing you can do is check youtube to see if there are any tips for the change you want to make. Sometimes I learn all kind of stuff.
