Default My new SS!

Hello everybody my name is Peter and I'm a Monte Carlo owner. It started about 2 weeks ago. I went to the dealership with a family member for their car to be worked on and I bought a car. I bought a brand new 2006 Monte Carlo SS....fully loaded. I love it! 5.3L V8 with D.O.D. I drove it off the lot with only 157miles on it. I took this beast on vacation with me and got excellent gas mileage and plenty of compliments from new and old. I'll have to get some pics up soon. Its black with high polish 18" rims and black leather interior. What kind of upgrades and/or custom work has been done out there? Let your voices be heard and your exhaust sound true, please inform me with your knowledge.

Good luck with the car. I have a 2007 SS, and other than a few custom dress up adds, I've left her pretty much stock. One thing I did do, is add a door moulding hopefully to prevent parking lot dings. I'm from Canada and we have a company called "Trimline" that supplies and installs. My car is Black Amethyst (shows dark purple) in the sunlight, but I just went for the black moulding, and you don't even notice the color difference. (see my photo album.)

Hello,Peter and welcome to the MC Forum. Make sure you check out the search engine here, as it is full of good stuff.
Of course good discussion is always welcome. Let's see some more pics in your gallery. Nice color combo, my favorite!

(from Cheech and Chong) Oooh man...Candy-apple with twice pipes, nice chopped'chort, nice ride man...

Welcome to the forums. There's a ton 'o stuff you can do... but it depends on if you want to go faster than you already are or look better than you already do...

Lowering made a big difference in the look of my Monte. You've already gots lots of juice but there's Flowmaster exhaust, hi-flo cat, maybe even some new headers, etc... then you can start doing engine bay stuff, brushed aluminum here and there...etc.

You're gonna love your car. I think everyone here can vouch for that.

Jeff
