Well pulled into my local dealer in my 99 Eclipse GST Spyder and spied the 04 Monte Carlo SS Intimidator. After some discussion with the sales guy and a test drive I found that the car was infact quicker than my Spyder.Anyway 2 hours and 20 grand poorer I drove off with the Monte (My wife can't drive a stick and wasn't thrilled about going topless [sm=drooldude.gif]). They were asking 19,999 for the Monte I owed 8,200 on the eclipse (They gave me 9k and I put down 2k)and after all the BS charges and GAP + an extended warrenty I ended up paying close to 20 for it. The car has 13,000 miles and every option that was availablein2004. Plus the previouse owner had added tinting to the windows, Euromax rims (200 each) and had lowered the car 1.3 in the front and 1.5 in the back.After some research it looks like I didn't make a killing but I also didn't get hurt. Opinions? So far I love the car and will be modifying it. At this point I want to install a CAI, Downpipe and exhaust, Chip and smaller pulley so you'll be seeing my posts elseware fairly soon.

I'll get pics up as soon as I have a decent day but being winter in Maine the cars (especially black ones) don't look to good. I do have a garage andthe suggestion to the wife that she parks her car outside wasn't recieved to well (She did say she would park it outside if I made sure to clean it off and warm it up for her before she left for work)so I guess my Avalanche will now reside outside.

 

Hey congrats on the car, I know you will love it My Intimidator is to my first Monte and I love it. I came form an old truck with 230,000 miles to my monte, needless to say I am in heaven.

Congrats on purchasing one of only 4000 Intimidator edition 2004 Monte Carlo's.
I too would like to see pics. I understand about winter time being horrible for pics. Everybody's car is covered in salt stains. That's the way my Monte is right now.

Did they happen to tell you which number out of 4000 you have?
