OK, so when my VSS was bad, it made the car not shift out of 1st gear and no reading on the speedometer. Come to find out it was only unplugged, so I plugged it in and both the speedometer started working and it once again shifted.
NOW, the oil sending unit down there right by the VSS is bad and sometimes it shows pressure and sometimes it sets off a red LOUD warning on the dash as its laying on ZERO oil pressure, but it goes up and down so I am assuming its bad too. QUESTION, will the oil pressure sending unit, when it goes to zero make the car die? This could be a deadly situation but my car wont idle ONLY when the oil pressure drops.
Ive changed the Mass Air Flow. Fuel pressure reg, idle switch, EGR, fuel filter, 02 sensor, and not that it matters, but since Im on a roll, I also have changed out the water pump, alternator, belt, plugs, wires, power steering pump, battery, all four tires, 3 coil pack, exhaust, air filter, oil and filter, belt tensioner, thermostat and gasket..................
and now besides the oil gauge not working and the car dying in the middle of traffic, the fuel gauge decided to quit working,
and the traction unit needs serviced.
Anything to help would be fine. Ive put too much into it to get rid of it. I'll take some beer if you want LOL thanks, Mark
