Whats up guys/girls?

I'm looking to upgrade from my Malibu; for a while I was looking at the new Malibu, then I stumbled apon the SS model Impalas and Monte Carlos.

As I understand it, they both have the LS4 5.3L V8 pushing over 300HP, and for a decent one they both run around 17K.

So other than body style, and passenger capacity, are there really any major differences that would make one better than the other?

 

Well the monte is more for a younger gen and the malibu is a more tamed version of the monte. i'd go with the monte, but thats just me

 

To me it just comes down to whether you need 4 doors or not. Personally, I'd go with the Monte, but if I needed 4 doors, it would kick *** to have the LS4 under the hood.

Body style wise, i would choose the Monte Carlo over the Impala any day.

 

heh, we are on a monte carlo forum.... but it comes down to how many doors you need.

 

i think the monte carlo looks alot better with 2 doors and the different bumpers but i guess thats the reason i got one

 

I wish the 06/07 Monte would have the same door set up as the Mazda Rx8.
Coupe with i guess you could say 'mini suicide doors'

 

It really comes down to if you like the rear end of the Impala more, or if you need 4 doors more.

Under the hood, inside the cabin, suspension, all mostly the same.

 

Number of doors. I will never buy a 4 door car so I chose the Monte. But my fiance picked up an 04 SS supercharged Impala and it makes a great winter beater.
