Default Monte Carlo lover - 2006 LS

In June I got my 3rd Monte Carlo, it is a 2006 LS and it is Superior Blue Metallic. I love the new look but I am not so hot on the new ride. I miss my 2000 with the smooth ride. But I am really happy with the new interior look. Overall I am loving it so far.

That color sounds cool. Throw some pics up if you can. Congrats on the new ride!

Good luck with your new Monte.
Just Curious, are the 2006's really not as smooth and harder riding than older models?

I've never heard that. I know I was really impressed with my '05 LT during the test drive. Really sweet ride and great handling for a car that size, too.

I haven’t driven the LS and I don’t remember if it has the same suspension as the SS but my SS rides kind of hard compared to a lot of new cars. It does handle well though; I've thrown it into a couple of corners pretty hard and have no complaints. I agree that the new interior is really nice but I wish the drivers seat went down more.

I took my new 06 back to the dealership 3 times to find out why it shakes and it took the mechanic to go out and get a new 06 Monte with no miles on it to figure out they are all like that. I drove one myself just to see. My 2000 and 1996 were much smoother. And yes I really wish the drivers seat was lower too! I feel like I am going to hit the roof with my head. When I figure out how to put a pic up I will get that done.

[&:]I do have a wierd snapping noise when I turn my wheel all the way to the left (usually I notice this when parking or turning a tight left) . The dealership also told me this is normal. Any words of advice out there?

My '06 doesn't shake at all. Never heard of that. The steering issue if you turn all the way to the stops hard enough it will make a pop sound.
