I'm new to this whole forum thing.... But I've got an 86 CL that I got from My brother when I was 14, about that many years ago in fact. It had a blown engine but it was mine....My dad fronted me the cash to have a rebuilt 4.3 put back in. Every chance I got and spare dollar I had went to making that car nicer and more unique from the rest of the pack. I drove and loved that car 4 mo. a year till about 7 years ago. I got the brilliant Idea that I was gonna restore it.... there it sat bare from the firewall forward ever since.... Now 2 wives later I'm at it full swing and she'll be a beauty(well fast anyway...paint ain't cheep if its good). I just scored a worked 454 from a co-worker, a ford 9" rear with 4:10s(whick will be narrowed drastically), and a complete back half kit is on the way. Although she's being built to tear up the strip, she will once again wear a liscence plate. Can't wait to feal her roll again... There's just something magical about your first car, when you sit behind the wheel and grip it tight you shoot back to all the times you shared on the open road.......
