If you're finding parts for the 3.5 you're searching the wrong year, the 3.5 was on the 7th gen monte 06-07. I'm not sure but i highly doubt it would fit. Make sure you're searching for parts for 2000-2005.

You're kind of unclear as to what you're asking for... You can get a wizaired... you can get dual exhaust and you can even do headers. Intake is around $300, just like the 3800, y-pipe for duals can be had from an SS car.

Headers are about a grand for a good set, I would get 3.5l exhaust manis (two fronts) and fob up a crossover pipe. That's about as good as you can get for under $200 headers. You may need to pull the engine to do this right.

If you have a 3400, just keep it nice, drive it.. and it'll treat you right.

MAC? You mean MAF? No you won't have to. There's the Wizaired kit on ZZPerformance that you can get with the 3400 option. Really an intake will just make noise, no real performance gains, maybe a mpg.

Y-pipe, you can get one from magnaflow off ebay or pull one from a junked monte, you'll need a hacksaw to get it off though.

Dont it just suck there is not too much to do performance wise for the 3.4, but man it can be a beautiful N/A if you work at it. =]

Mitch (Trewyn15) is right. Sucking alot of air into the engine won't do a lot of good unless you upgrade the entire exhaust system. It's like running a marathon while breathing through a drinking straw.
