First off, howdy all.
I just stumbled on this forum when I was looking for MC info. I have had 2 monte carlos. My first I got as a freshman in HS. It was a 1986 Monte Carlo LS w/ a 305, dual exhaust, alum. intake, "improved emissions" and a swapped carb. It started off maroon, but then gradually moved to a dull brown. It wasn't the fastest car in the lot, but nobody slid across gravel quite as quickly. Then I got a '99 Grand Am (GrandAm Owners Club is an excellent GA forum btw) for a college car. Now that I'm out of college and working full time, I decided it was time to relive the Monte Days. Of course the '86 went down the road a few years ago, so I went looking at the carlots. I am now the proud owner of an '06 Monte LT3. I was also a mechanic for six years. Part of HS and through college. Well i'm done.
