So I've been around Monte's for awhile now. My mom had an 85 LS when I was about 3 until 5. She sold that car to my sister when she bought herself an 86 SS with a 305 in it. We put over 300k original miles on that car. We recently swapped out the 305 for a race built 350. Bored .30 over, stage 2 NHRA drag kit, medium cam, mid rise intake...you know. Anyway, we wanted another Monte that got better gas mileage so she bought an 04 Canary Yellow SS, non-supercharged. Every option available too I think, minus the blower LOL. Fast forward to 2008 and mom now has grandkids, so she needs something more family friendly. Trades the SS in for an Impala LTZ, so I decide I have to take over the Monte Carlo legacy in our family...even though she still has the 86 SS monster.

I search Auto Trader for about a week, and I find the perfect Monte for me. I drive to the dealership, and tell them I want to trade this in:


We work the numbers and the details...yada yada...and I come home with this:


2006 Monte Carlo SS: NASCAR Pace Car edition. 54k on it, and I got it for $16,900.
