Just bought a 2006 SS
Traded IN MY 2002 SS on a Bright Blue 2006 SS. Love the sound of the V8 and the color. Interested in doing a few mods. Nothing major just a few to make it look better. Dose anybody have any information on getting a machined bow-tie for the trunk ? The one that is on there looks like crap.
Also has anybody experiences some interior squeaks in the door panels. WOW this one seems to make more noise then my old one.

Might have to remove the panel and try to tighten things up, or just make sure all the screws around the panel are tight. Mine rattles a bit too, especially in the winter. That's GM.

Welcome to the 7th generation!
I too had traded my 2001 SS for my current 2006 SS. I love the upgraded engine which was my primary reason for moving up. But I do have to admit that the plastic materials they used do not seem as solid as the 2000-2005 series. Does anyone agree with me on that? And my doors do rattle more than before, odd since it's newer than 2001.
But you know what, I'm OK with it because I think you're still getting a lot of car for the price. And don't Vette's rattle too? LOL!
