I bought a 2006 monte carlo ss recently and have discovered a few things that need replaced. It just rolled over to 26,000 and already needs a water pump and the intermediate steering shaft is also going bad. I was just curious if anyone else has had some issues and or other issues. Any advice would be awesome. Thanks

 

Wow no I have a 2006 SS..... now my wife's 2004 SS had to have the steering shaft replaced twice.

 

There is a quick fix for the intermediate steering shaft problem. All it needs is grease. There was a thread floating around on how to do it. It actually came from the Impala forum.

 

Man that sux ur having issues at that low of milage

Welcome to the Forum...I have a 2007 with 28,000 miles on it (when I bought it) and haven't had any major problems (knock on wood). The only issue to straighten out was the Tire Pressure Monitoring System, which flashed a "check" code right after I got the car. I had three of the monitors replaced and am waiting for the fourth to go. Luckily the warranty covered the work. I'm so sorry to hear you're having trouble - but you're sure to find lots of friendly help here at the MCForum. Post pictures when you can.

 

Can ANYBODY tell me how to get this thumbnail picture larger???!!! I tried the right-click>copy>edit>paste procedure and it blew the picture up so big it covered the message. Taz - Rick - Space - Cowboy.......... somebody please help!!

 

if you hover over the image they get bigger, that's just the picture system here on the forum, i like those!

i hope someone can find that link, i would like to do that even tho i don't need it, something to get out of the way hah

 

Thanks - I know about the hovering, but how do I post larger pictures within my posts without making it a thumbnail? So many of the other posters here have their avatar and signature and then a larger pic in their posts. Sometimes the larger pic relates to the post and others look like part of their signature.

I got the door sills custom painted at a body shop here in St. Louis. It was worth the money cuz I'm terrible at painting!

 

I have found that resizing the picture using photobucket to a more managable size helps with the copy/paste method.
