Default Introduction New Member and Air Conditioner ?

Hello all, I'm new to the forum. I own a 2000 Monte Carlo the Canadian Made model. I've owned it for 3 years now and have only made 2 repairs to it, fuel pump and fans. I love my car. I'm constantly getting complimented on it.
So my question about air conditioning is ,
The switch has only worked on 5 all summer. But now 5 has gone out too. I'm dying it's a black car and I still need to replace the window motor on drivers door and I live in Cali where it's been 100's or 90's so I am so sweltering. I found where this problem is the resistor under dash behind the blower motor. My question is is are there any other things it could be besides the resistor?
