Introducing myself
Hi there, my name is Sean.
I recently inherited a 2007 LT in Laser Metallic Blue and black leather interior when my wife suddenly passed away in January. We have been the only owners of it since we started out leasing it, and then buying it at the end of the lease.
Right now, the car has a little less than 60,700 miles on it. While not my ideal car, it is becoming fun to drive and I love the heated seats when my back is a little tight. Also, quite frankly, it is more comfortable to sit in than my 2015 Civic.
It has a few issues: 1) damned TPMS system keep telling me to check the tires, and for some reason seem to think the tires should have 35 lbs of air in them, 2) needs a new gas cap (on order), 3) has 1 or 2 blend door actuators in the dash that broken free and make awesomely loud noises at random intervals (trying to decide if I'm brave enough to take the dash apart and fix them
) and has a little rust on the rear wheel wells.
Over the years, it hasn't been a bad car. Only sort of major repair done was last year when the "coolant crossover gasket" needed replaced; MUCH cheaper than the head gasket I thought it was! But it is getting to be of an age where it could potentially start needing money dumped into it, so I am trying to decide if I want to keep it, sell it or trade it in for something newer.
Anyway, that's a little bit of my story....just wanted to say HI, so if I start asking questions, no one is like "Who the hell is this guy!?".
The included pic is from the night we picked up the car, 11/30/06. The car is not blurry, just a crappy camera from back in the day.

Welcome to the forum Sean and sorry for your loss.
Ask as many questions as you want. We are here to help.
I am partial to Montes so I would spend money fixing it.

Welcome to the MCF. I love the color of your car! I, too, had some rust above the right rear tire, and recently had it repaired as part of a total repaint. I weighed all my options, and decided my '07 Monte was definitely worth keeping and spending the money. My total cost was $5200...
