Default Introduce myself 2002 MC SS Dale Earnhardt Edition

Hello everyone, I was a member of this forum under AFAN4_29 about 20 years ago but lost my login info. Back in 2001 I owned a Silver LS and in 2007 I owned a Red with black rally stripe SS. I recently saw a 2002 SS Dale Earnhardt edition for sale with 17k miles on it. I decided to test drive it and fell in love with the car all over again. I bought it and got a good deal on it. I changed all filters and fluids and including flushed the power steering and coolant and brake fluid. I had a few hard starts and found out the fuel pressure regulator diaphragm was leaking fuel into the vacuum line so I replaced that as well, no more hard starts. I put new tires on it since it had the original tires that were 23 years old. Ugh Here is some pictures of it. The previous owner must have bought a dash panel from another Monte Carlo cause I found pictures of Earnhardt and Park signing the dash that were in the glove box. I am so happy to be able to own a Monte Carlo again.

Not sure how long the ride is for you, but the GM National car show in Carlisle PA is coming up. I will be there and I am always trying to encourage others to come out to the event as well. If it is too late to do it this year, plan for next year.

It appears to be 4.5 hrs north of me. I see that it is happening next weekend. Maybe next year I can attend, unfortunately not able to this year, but thanks for letting me know..

Completely understand. But definitely plan for next year. I will be there again and I am always happy to meet fellow owners and get more people to the event.

Welcome to the forum, nice ride for sure! I always wanted one of those and never got to get one.
Maybe I will get lucky like you did someday.

Mine isn't as nice as yours but here it is. It had 4 owners before .me and it shows they did not care about it, I don't interior pictures as it is in the garage with a dead battery and a leaking water pump. They tore the crap out of some of the interior
Being disabled it is hard to find money to fix it up but I will

That’s awesome you have an intimidator edition. Wish mine had the supercharger though. I never could understand how people trash cars, especially how much you pay for them. I have been to several junk yards and it amazes me how people trash the interiors. Some of them still have a pile of food bags in the passenger floorboard.
