looks nice.
glad to see another one of the earlier versions on the fourm.

I enjoy seeing the older versions on the road.

As far as your seats go. go t a bone yard and find the ones you want out of another G.M. if you want to go that way.
I used to do this all the time. if you find some in a car with a simular body style as yours is most likely you can get straight acrossed bolt ins. If not the you get to put the mounts in to it.
JUST REMEBER !!!!
when ever you bolt a seat in do not bolt it threw jus tthe sheet metal.
get the biggest washer you can find and the thickest one you can find. I used to do it and use a peice of plate steel welded to the botoom of the floor on both sides like a sandwitch then you drill a hole and put them in place.

As far as the seats.
if they are just normal dirt then you can vacume them off.

if they are stained etc... take a bucket and put some DAWN dish soap in the bottom of it about enough to cover the bottom. then fill it with the hottest water that you can stand to put your hand in . grab a scrub brush and go at it.

then take a wet/dry vac and suck all the extra water off of them. and let them sit out in the sun or a warm place to help let them dry.

other wise you can take them in and have them redone in the color and fabric of your choice. and most of the time cheaper then it is to buy a new set.

also with the rustang craz goign around with the race seats in them you might get lucky doing thse to if ya look hard enough.

living in Iowa you should have a real good chance i lived further west of you in NE. so there are cars theere all over the place

Nice ride by the way .

Hi. Nice '81!
There must be something with '81 MC front seats. A buddy of mine bought an '81 monte back in college (about 15 years ago). Ran great, but it had no front seats. He used a couple of milk crates for a week or two until he found some seats at the junk yard. It was a great car, too bad he trashed it. He didn't care about maintaining the car as long as it had a good sound system.
