I own a 2006 Monte Carlo SS 5.3L V8 with Flowmaster Cat-Back Exhaust System, fabricated for me by Dave's Muffler.

I have a ton of questions.

Is the anyway I can make my car shift at minium 3,000 RPM to avoid that awful 4-cyl sound. Once I'm cruising at speed, I don't care if the motor goes into 4-cyl mode, but not until I'm at speed. I hate that 4-cyl sound -- sounds like the car is missing.

2. Around here, most speed limits are 50-mph, which is ideal for the best gas milage, and I watch the car say 27-41 MPG, but I get in reality, 15.6 MPG. I do use the throttle to get me to speed, but was I get to speed I set the cruise control. So zero to 50 in 4-sec, but then it cruises for miles at that speed.

3. My car is BLACK, thus the "Black Attack". I spent 3-days claybaring and using Meguiar's Scatch X to smooth out the paint enough it has "ZERO" scratches. Then I cleaned it, put on the Gold Paste, then Detailer, then some more Gold, then more detailer, then their new NXT Generation Tech wax (which made it look like glass). But I hear Zainos Z1, Z5, Z2 is better, YES or NO?

4. Does anybody make a Cold Air Intake for the 2006 yet?

5. SEMAC does not have a lot of parts available for the 2006 SS, who does? Both Performance and Appearance products (Hoods, wing spoilers, mesh grills, etc.)?

as for the wax, i like megiuars thats whats worked best for me, but 04montels is really good with polishing products...he'd be the best person to ask

i dont think there's a lot of performance stuff out for the car yet...just watch ebay, stuff tends to hit that before it hits the retailers...i think someone on here has the k*n kit on their 06ss though

From what I know, aftermarket parts other than inhaling (intake) and exhaling (exhaust) are hard to come by. There are some other items out there, but I am sure other members have more info for you than I would.
