How to tell if my Monte Carlo is a SS

Default How to tell if my Monte Carlo is a SS
I have a 1984 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, It looks like a SS but how can i tell if its a real SS or not? what am i looking for in the VIN?

8th digit in the vin must be a G

You can also type your VIN into this website. And it'll tell you what your car came with from the factory.

I TRIED THAT SITE IT SAID NO MATCHES FOUND BUT HERES MY VIN: 1G1AZ37G8ERxxxxxx SS RIGHT!?!?

8th one is G isn't it?
G=ss H=Non ss
yes it's an SS
