Default Hi I'm tesla0055, but everyone can call me David.

I'm from South Ozone Park, New York. I own a 2007 Monte Carlo LS. This car has never missed a beat. It looks good, pretty fast off the line, and has a great ride. I consider it the best car I ever owned. Being in New York City Monte Carlos are few and far between. I can sometimes go two or three weeks before I see another Monte. My car happens to be fairly close to the end of production. Montes were discontinued June 19 2007. Mine was produced in April. I'm happy to be a member here. Nice to know people who have similar interests in cars.

I looked at the label on my Monte this morning, and it was built in May/'07. I'd like to know how close to the end of the line it actually was... GM told me last year they didn't have that information...

I don't know what it is about 2007 information that is so hard to obtain. The company that produces the reproduction window stickers also told me they didn't have enough info on that model year to produce a sticker for me........

Yes. That's true. No one takes time to look up numbers. I have this much info though. In 2007 gm made 10,889 montes. 6000 were SS's. The remainder were LT's and LS's. There were no LTZ's for that year. So actually the LT and LS is rarer.

The website referenced in post #17 of the below thread says that my car was built on 5/29/07.... Three weeks before the last one rolled off...

That is so cool. When I bought mine I really wasn't aware of the end of production history. I might of tried to find a later #. I'm happy for you though. Yours is a real keeper. I plain on keeping mine also.

Thank you. I'm very happy to be here. There are not many Monte Carlo enthusiasts in my area. It's nice to connect with others who have similar tastes in automobiles.
