Default Hi everyone

New to posting here, been browsing these forums for the past couple months from work while on breaks and lunch. Never signed up tho. I got my 2003 red Monte Carlo SS back in December last year. It has 121,000 miles, and needs alittle work. Shifts hard after the engine reaches half temp, so I figure either a solenoid or a clogged cat. Probably get that fixed next month. Then save up for new intake, exhaust and then probably paint, repair the one small spot that needs fixed.

I grew up with my parents driving a I believe was '83 SS and a '84 or '85 LS, my dad also drove a '79 SS. So when I had to get a new car, my grand prix needed too much work for a car I didn't like much. I decided to check out the newer Monte's. Loved em, but must say. They are so hard to find decent working one's in PA.

Anyway, look forward to talking to you guys here.

Hi Fiotu,
It's about time you stopped stalking us & joined..
Welcome to the Monte Carlo Family

Look forward to seeing pictures & reading all about your Monte S.S.

Yes, I've heard it's hard to find decent Monte's in PA. I heard the Monte owners there just don't take care of them (j/k) LOL.

So finally got an early lunch break and remembered to take a few pictures at work today. Oh, since I didn't really read the thing up top. My name's Dave and I'm 31, working as a machine operator.

I took these while I had her running, and didn't even think about turning the parking lights on instead. I don't want to kill my battery while I'm on lunch and listening to music. Did that once before in my Grand Prix.

Thinking when I do get around to repainting, I'll change the trim to either white or black, instead of silver.

Hello from a fellow PA resident.
I agree it's hard to find cars in decent condition after 8-10 years old in PA, people don't seem to wash the salt off. Keep your eye on your brake lines, in PA these W-body's lines like to corrode pretty badly.
Nice looking monte!
