How many miles on your Pace Car ? What options do you have ? Oh, what do you off road ?

Look forward to reading all about your Monte Carlo Pace Car & also your off roading experience..

p.s. Pictures please!
First off, Thanks for the welcome everyone.

I have 124k on the clock. It has all the options for the pace car including the sweet Sony sound system. It doesn't have nav, not sure if that was even an option back then. My dad had an 85 T-bird and this car reminded him so much of it he really wanted one. After some looking around we came really close to an SS supercharged but then saw this in one of the papers near us. Of all the places to have it there was a tiny dealer in the middle of nowhere that might move 5-10 cars a month. Anyway I've loved this car since we got it and now it's been given to me. It's kind of turned into a sunny day car as my dad retired it as his DD in 07 and my DD is my truck. I like it sitting in the garage when its raining so it stays nice n shiny a lot longer. The only real improvement I've done is changed out the rotors and pads to Brembo slotted and cross-drilled so I stop warping rotors. I'll post some pictures up when I get them uploaded to photo bucket.

Like I said I've been concentrating on improving my 01 Ford Sport Trac so it has some off road capability. After wheeling it sock an scraping the underside on a lotta rocks I knew I needed a change. Its been my summer project and now she sits tall on 35" tires (unusual for anything this size on the explorers, etc).

Thanks for your reply & updates..Great to read that your Monte is a SunShine ride & that it has it's own auto bedroom garage. We will be looking 4ward to your pictures..

Also, I love your Ford 4X4...That has to be a blast to drive off road.
How does it handle on pavement ? What is your average MPG's...Does it have enough power ?

We have several member's with trucks, and many with Ford's...We love many types of vehicles here on the MCF

Look forward to your future contributions to the MCF..
EnJoy your experience

Heres some pics of the MC. I couldn't find any good ones; these are just what I had on my phone. The 1st 3 are recently right after I washed waxed and detailed the interior. I don't like just washing a car. With this one I go all out haha. The last one is a picture in front of Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Space - my ST handles great on the pavement. Thats one thing I kept in mind while building it up. I still get about 16mpg which is what I got stock. It can be a bit of a dog on the highway but I will probably be rehearing to a higher ratio so I wont have to worry about thslowing down on the uphills. The only reason it slows down is because I try to keep it in OD as through everything. If it downshifts, its got plenty of kick.
