We'll all be interested in knowing what you come up with for the car

If you start to make molds and want to earn money, LS1tech.com is a great forum for the LSx engines and you can probably sell some stuff there.

You're going to kick a N/A 5.3 up to 550HP? I'm sure it's not impossible, but surely can't be easy.

it is possible these gen3 small blocks have lots of potential even at a small size. but i never said it would be a 5.3
we have a 6.2 out of a camaro taking up space at work that makes about 430hp stock.

but i also found a turbo kit that would bolt on. anybody herd of this?http://www.turbokits.com/monte_carlo_turbo_kits.html

probably build the bottom end stronger and turn up the boost a little and then watch the trans blow

Oh, didn't know you were working with the 6.2. You should be able to pump 550HP+ out of it then. Now you want to go turbo instead of N/A? Turbo's are catchy for speed demons if you can afford them. No shame in that.

i have been searching to much now i dont know what i want to do
and according to dave at TEP the trans can only hold 450whp since he cant get the 1 inch drive chain.

i am leaning towards the turbo kit and getting the stronger input shaft and 7/8 drive chain for the trans. plus the gas mileage would be better turboed if i can keep my foot off the gas.doubt it
