I just bought my first 1978 monte Carlo Landua edition. The owner was going to japan and had to get rid of it so I took it off his hands. The engine has been rebuilt with dula exhuast pipes, 350 5.0L engine, It has exhuast leak, oil leak and I think I need a new alternator not sure though it might be the battery. It has new tires and rims on it. The inside is fairly good, Needs a new dash due to wear and tear. . I'm hoping i can put some muscle back into my 3rdGMC which stands for 3rd Generation Monte Carlo. I hope i can learn a great deal from this chevy forum hope to talk to you guys lata

What is a 4.9, that is what my Cad had?

 

the 4.9 would be somewhere around293ci.without doing the math... that doesnt sound as cool as 4.9L. lol!
