Default Help Identify this Monte Carlo

My father-in-law used to have a 1970s Monte Carlo with an oval opera window. What model year might that have been?

I had a 70's era Monte Carlo when it was new 1970,1971,& 1972 were all the first Gen Monte Carlos There were a few of these that had an oval opera window in it.
I asked a guy who had one back in the day and it was a dealer installed item according to him. They all had vinyl tops that I saw I saw a few Chevelles with that option as well.
I still have the original order book from 1972 and it does not have that option listed. I also have 1970 brochure and I didn't see anything in it either. Sometimes the glass had a pinstripe in it too. Here are some shots of the first gen Montes options.

John Philip Schons: I just joined this forum to respond to your old post from 2019 that I came across today.

I was a very large Manufacturer and Supplier to the Automotive Aftermarket and Dealers, from 1971 to present. I was one of 2 or 3 people who made as well as installed
the Oval Opera Window in your Monte Carlo photo. There were few sizes in Oval and a 6" Round in Chrome and Black. we sold thousands in the U.S. and export,
These were very popular on many cars from 1971 thru late 80's. Most popular was Monte Carlo, Pinto, Fairlane and so many others.
Last week I came across a carton in my garage that I put in storage in 2004. I have about 40pcs of the small oval only in Chrome.
I only have the rings and not the complete set containing the inner ring.
