hello my names michael forrester.
me and my girlfriend just got a 96 monte carlo z34 today.
her dad gave it to us and said it needs an alternator ad the tranny is sliiping.
Alternator is not a problem since i work at autozone and have %20 off. but tranny is another story.
this is the first monte carlo i have owned, i usuallly stick to s10's or dodge neons.
so any info i should know about monte's?

Heyy! Welcome to the forum! Well Monte Carlos are awesome...enough said =) but seriously one of the 5th gen owners will be able to tell you more about ur gen monte then I will =) post pics when you can!

ill try and get pics tomorrow.
Right now its just a beater since we only had 1 truck. and we both work and she goes to school now.
about a month ago a big tree limb fell on it and busted out the windshield and the rear window and thats whay is a beater.
the roof is dented some and theres some rust on the corners by the rear wheels.
But i think im going to slowly fix it up( first comes the s10)
