Cool Hello All Monte Carlo Lovers

My name is Bill and I have always been a lover of Monte Carlos. It has always been my dream to own a 6th Gen SS. I found my car a few weeks ago at a lot local to me. It is a 2002 SS Pace Car, and is in almost imaculate shape. Little did I or the dealer know it was special edition when I bought it. Apon further investigating of the car, I found the original window sticker and COA in the glove box in the back of the owners manual. Turns out my car is 159 out of the 1150. I about messed myself LOL. I am looking for other Pace Car and 6th Gen fans so I can gather all the info possible. Thanks all for reading

Thats awesome that you have the COA, Hold on to that thing tight frame it or something just keep it safe they only give 1 per vehicle, a lot of us have acquired these special edition monte carlos and have to settle for a letter from chevy cause they only give out 1. Thats just awesome that you have it. Do you plan on doing any modifications to the car? Exhaust? Cold Air Intake?

I thought about a exaust and CAI, but really want to keep it original. From what I have found online the 2002 Pace Car was one of the smallest special edition series they did. I have a low number in production, and think that not only for the money value, but the nostalgia value it needs to stay OEM

unfortunately domestics dont hold their vaule very well I think weather you have a pace car, a nascar edition or a normal SS its all going to be valued at the same depending on miles, Unless you have #1 in that series which I have been told Chevy keeps. My previous monte carlo I painted black put the entire pace car kit on it and had the bowtie on the hood and it looked great. The highest offer I had for it was $800, until I found a place that guaranteed 3k for your car no matter what. Most monte carlos around here are selling for 3k unless you go to a dealer who then sells them for about 7k no more. Its sad cause I love the cars and think they are worth more than that especially with their nascar history.

Welcome to the forum! The only way anyone is getting The Intimidator #194 is from my cold dead hands. I, like you, always wanted a 6th gen SS and when I found mine, it took alot of coaxing to convince my wife that I've been a good boy and deserve it lol. Haven't had it a month yet, but ít was money well spent. I am jealous tho. You have the window sticker and COA. Lucky. I have a letter tho and I'm gonna order a new sticker. Good luck with it!

Hello Bill and Welcome to the forum. Glad to see your dream come true and that it actually paid off handsomely by it being an actual Special Edition Monte. Nice snag you got for yourself.

I agree with Tweek, go ahead and do your mods, these cars are not going to get dinged to much in the pocketbook by doing a few mods. Make it yours...
