Welcome Benjamin from NY to the Monte Carlo Forum. Another new member here is MonteCarloChich from Lancaster, NY. Is that anywhere near you?
What color is it in and out? Hope it treats you well.
Looking forward to seeing pics.

Hi! I see you're from OP. Like Rockn said, I'm from Lancaster[sm=smiley1.gif] Not many Monte owners I know out here.

Haha yeah. It's pretty cool to see some members that are around my area that are actually on this forum. The last forum I was on for my previous vehicle (2000 Chevy s10) there was nobody around on the forum I belonged to. Oh and Lancaster is not that far away from where I am, it's only about 20 minutes north (max).

I'll get posts soon, I had to work today and by the time I got home it was pitch dark.

But anyway, here are some details in the meantime

2003 Monte Carlo SS
Black Exterior
Black Leather Interior
Heated Seats
Power Everything (a very NICE improvement from my last vehicle, which had power nothing)
Computer Info System (the computer in the ceiling, I really couldn't think of a better way to put it)
3800 Series II V6 (200hp/220 lb/ft) w00t I can get out of my own way now
"Flat" Spoiler
Dual Stock Exhaust

If you are wondering if I'm going to do any mods, I'm really not planning on it. Mainly since I'm still in college and the funds are a bit tight at the moment. I think the only thing that I really want to do is get some polished stainless steel exhaust tips for it to dress it up a bit. From what I understand the stock exhaust is 2.5"? I've been looking around on the site for exhaust tip sizes but so far I have found nada. It seems the people on this site (compared to the other forum I was on) are much more interested in other peoples cars so any help would be hot.

Your Monte with dual exhaust is probably only 2.25 OD at the tips. That's what my 06 LT is, not sure on my 03 LS however.

Welcome to our board!

IF you do decide to open your wallet, even just a little (christmas IS coming)
Look into the u-bend delete and a simple intake. Even just a drop-In K&N. My first GM coupe, a 95 beretta was getting 34 MPG highway with the K&N, the most I ever got before it was 30. The Ubend is called such, as it is a U-shaped exhaust piece directly in front of the catalytic converter, that houses an O2 sensor. It's a large restriction, replace that and pair it with an intake, and allowing the computer to re-learn how to run the engine should give you quite a boost. I would imagine 10 all around (hp and ft-lbs), even with just a drop in replacement K&N air filter (I haven't owned a vehicle that I didn't put one on)
I mean, the increased mileage should pay for itself in a small amout of time with how gas prices are these days.

Here's to many more miles/mods in your Monte Carlo! [sm=icon_cheers.gif]
