most dealerships wont cover anything anymore anyway, i've always done the work myself on my vehicles if they needed anything, my truck needed new brakes after a month of buying it, so i went and got all the good stuff on it, you know that when you get warranty work done @ a dealer they put the cheapest possible parts on your car, so it costs them the least amount possible

Fede,
Did you get to test drive the Monte ?
Did you get the Monte's History ?
(like a CarFax Report)
Did you have a Mechanic/Auto Specialist
check it out ?
Did you search what they are selling for @
AutoTraders/Cars.com/Kelly Black Book ?
Auctions scare me `if you have to get the car
"As is"
If you love the Monte & you have done your
homework, then I would bid what you
think that you can afford to bid.
There will always be another one out there, in case
you don't hit the right number on this one.
Buyer BeWare,
I know "I want it NOW" : )
Good Luck....Let us know what happens.

Auctions arent to bad... the important thing is that you go on off days and look at the car before the auction most places will let you do this... obviously the idea of an auction is to get the item for the least money possible... but one thing you gotta ask your self what is this car worth to me? how bad do i want this monte... one thing that blue book or kbb.com doesnt take into account is street value... i have seen cars that blue book for 5k sell for 35k because someone wanted that car real bad... Im not saying its smart but it does happen.. So i would suggest going look at the car... try and get it inspected then go to the auction knowing what you can swing as a max cost..... start low, you can always come up in price but never come down...Good choice though.. I bought my first monte a couple months ago and now cant imagine driving anything else ever... I will buy another monte after this one... even if it means buying it used...

i would maybe just offer 1000$ less than they're asking, or $500 possibly, thats usually safe when it comes to an auction, but maybe there asking price is a minimum price they will take

My wife uncle has always got their cars from auctions.
You might have to put a few bucks into them but for the most part he has done very well
He has even got a few of them, and sold them.

I pulled my car off Ebay so I have no problems with that at all. I would definately low ball it though. If you don't get it, just look for another one. You'll find some real nice ones on Ebay.

Yeah. Let's try to keep it in the family.

Seriously though Mickey's car is pretty nice and at a good price.
