Default Fresh Blood

What's up? I've visited the forum numerous times but I'm pretty sure I've never posted. I got a 2003 Monte Carlo LS with the 3400, LA1 motor. about 153k miles on her now, I bought her almost 3 years ago with 92,000 miles. She runs pretty good when she starts. I've replaced a number of things on this vehicle, mainly so they don't go bad any time soon. I've got a small system in it which hits the hardest I've ever heard with only 500? watts I believe. Had an alarm installed shortly after purchasing it. She's starting to rot but I have a number of reasons to believe it's been repainted, mainly because I dont think about 6 sq inches of each fender could have rotted away, even in these harsh Wisconsin winters.

Hello and hope you can help others too with your knowledge on how to replace certain things. Rust and our fenders do seem to be an issue. More typically on the 06 / 07 lines more than ours. Guess it all comes down to the inner wheel liner having a small gap that traps moisture and there by starting the wheel well / fender rust.

Welcome aboard! Sounds like your Monte Carlo is in the great shape for 13 years of age. Hope it serves you well for many years to come.

Thanks for the warm welcomes! Yeah if possible I'll definitely be trying to help some people out. And within the next year i might do all the body work on my car.

Oh yeah they are, my old talon's subframe was rotted out. This salt sucks. With all this cold weather the salt is all over. I just wanna wash it but it's too cold for the car washes
