You could use vinyl and trim adhesive. It is from 3M and comes in an aerosol spray can. I think NAPA sells 3M products. You could also use Dynamat. That is available from Year One, Summit Racing, Jegs, and many more. The Dynamat is a bit more expensive but is made for automotive applications and should be more durable. Nothing bites more than having to do a project twice.

Nice mods! One way you can seal the opening between the heat shield and air duct tube is with a rubber grommet. That's what I used on my Blazer. The ID was a pretty snug fit, but a coat of engine oil on the grommet helped to get the air duct tube to slide in. I found the grommet in the plumbing section of a local hardware store. The top of the heat shield actually mated to the underside of the hood, so I didn't have to concern myself with making a lid for it. I think The_Maniac has the right idea about using the insulation you can get at Home Depot, and mousehousemoparman about using the 3M spray adhesive. :thumbsup:
