Emission component requirements

Can any body tell me what emission components are required on a 1978 Monte Carlo in Massachusetts. The only emission device on my car is the carbon canister. All else was removed by previous owner. Thank you.

Not sure what there law's are but it came with a air pump, pvc valve, catalytic convertor and EGR valve

Thanks for your response. Just talked to my inspection guy. He said if it's older than 14 years, I don't have to worry. Big relief.
