Welcome to the forum. That LS4 is a great engine- I test drove quite a few Impala and Monte SS' last year with it. Very smooth and flat power delivery! You'll enjoy it.

Welcome to the forum Dredd!

That's a really cool project. There's been a few people that have mentioned how they would've liked to do what you're doing. But changed their mind when they realized how much work and money would be involved. I think one of them simply bought a 2007 and swapped out the pieces on the front clip (hood, fenders, bumper, lights) to make the front look like his 2000 model.

I'm really excited to hear someone actually doing it your way. Please keep us updated on your progress.

I know Painless Performance is a well known source for replacement OEM wiring harnesses. But they don't always carry every model. They have mostly stuff for classic cars. But it wouldn't hurt to maybe fire off an email to them.

GM Parts Direct also has original GM parts, but they're one step below dealership when it comes to prices. So they're not the cheapest source out there.

You can also try Car-Part.com for a search of used parts. I would try them first.

Thanks TAZ,

The Guy at Moradparts broke down and got me the complete dash/body wiring haness for $475.00 shipped to my front door, unless I can fond it for a better price I think I'll go with it because I called the dealer and the guy there said it list for $525.00 plus tax. Thanks for the info, I will check them out for pricing.

Not to bump an old thread, but I wonder if this ever worked out.
