Default Coolant leak 2003 monte

For about a year now I have had issues with my temp and no heat. Changed thermostat and it was fine for awhile. I started smelling antifreeze once and awhile but never saw any leaks. I flushed the radiator and things seem better. Well then a couple days ago I smelled antifreeze again and temp was going crazy. This past weekend a friend of mine saw that the head was leaking. He told me to buy some Blue Devil head gasket sealant. $35 a bottle. So far it seems to be working. The car only has 59,000 original miles on it. I never saw any signs of water in the oil. Has anyone else run in to this issue?

Flush that **** out asap that is just a bandaid and is likely to clog the system down the road,

3.8 or 3.4? These cars are know for intake gaskets going out, 3.8 coolant elbows are issues, since buying my car I have been through the gambit of it, only things I have not replaced is the water pump and heater core in my coolant system,

It's a 3.4. I need to have the car running for now. Don't have the money for another car or money to replace the gaskets. I had to do something. Thanks for your input.
