13.9 sec and a broken clutch, but I got one of the old clutches in a Chevrolet store. The father of the owner selled Chevys since '69 (that's also the place were my father bought his Camaro) and the son showed me those old parts that he still has from 1973. So I've got a 1973 clutch in my Monte. But my 'normal' 1/4-mile times are something around 16-19 secs.

hey sean
Just came back from K-town last Feb. we loved it there and would love to go back someday.
we were at Ramstein for 3 years. and also in homburg for a year.
Glad that you have found a car that your proud to have as your own,
Also normally there is a car show in Luxemburg the first or second week in July. it is threw the American Roadrunners club.
If you serch for it i know they do a website but i havent got the info for it.
Also you can go to my web site for our car club that is still around in Germany. (not used as much as we would like but still checked in to)
get a hold of Swen. he drives the Malibu. but he is native DE. and he can also give information on the shows etc. over there.
they also have a nice show there in Berlinonce a year but i dont remeber the name of it we only went once. after the first 6hour drive is was enough LOL
But they have a ton of american car shows there if you do a serch.

Oh I forgot to say that this Monte is second hand. The first owner built a manual 4-speed transmission into the car. After the broken clutch I asked how old the clutch was. “11 years, I've still got the original automatic transmission in my garage, so if you're exchanging the clutch you can install the original automatic transmission, too, ay? .“ Yay, he gave it to me for free. Well I had to change the middle part of the interior because i wanted the (original) automatic transmission wich is placed at the steering weel. So i had to take every thing out: seats, dashboard, motor, clutch and transmission... hella work! maybe I can find the pics of the conversion.

245hp, right? Just like mine. But the 1970s had 250hp, right? Does your fiance also have another car? Something for the daily use? A BMW 1 or something like a Mini Cooper? Oh well...
