Camaro to Monte Carlo

Camaro to Monte Carlo
Hello!
I use to post on camarov6.com (firebirdv6.com) and I am now back to the forums after so many years!
I recently purchased a 2005 Monte Carlo LT with 21,000 miles. It seems to be loaded but stock. My backlog of things to do include a K&N intake and Flowmasters out the back (I had an SLP CAI and a Flowmaster on my 96 RS Maro(and others)). I love those mods on the Camaro so that seems to be first thing to do...Though, sadly, it will be some time because of the recent purchase.
Oh and by the way, I have loved the 3.8L for 10 years and I am ecstatic to still be in the family!

Thanks Kid!
Thank you for the welcome
I am sad to see the end of the Camaro…but to new beginnings!
As said before, I do love the 3.8L engine...everything I know about cars has come about by working and moding that 96 RS Camaro with my dad....
...So when I saw this Monty on the lot and it appeared (and believe) that is was babied I had to get it. No rear wheel drive but I was looking towards a for respectable and reliable car. This car seemed (and is) the perfect transition from my 3.8 Maro. I love the engine so much that it was a major selling point on the Carlo.
My next off days (mon, tue) I will be going over it with a fine tooth comb, a waxing and pictures. I will post them and I am so glad to see such a great following with this car. I'm glad to be in the family and I'm grateful to still be powered by a Chevy 3.8

Hi Anfronie,
I think you will appreciate the FWD in Ohio when the
snow falls again in your winter months.
What engine was in your Camaro ?
GM's 3.8L has proven to be a bulletproof engine `if it
is not abused & maintained.

Welcome to the MCF Family. You are gonna LOVE your 2005 LT. It has the smoothest ride and handles beautifully. A Black Monte always makes heads turn on the road, or in a parking lot, or in your driveway! I had a black "05 LT too, but I crashed it a year ago (not my fault!) Wishing you many trouble-free and safe miles with your new baby. Here's my black one, makes my cry:

Thank you all for the warm welcome!
Again, it is so refreshing to see the following this car has. I learned sooo much from the camaro forum I was in and I hope to gain and fine tune my 3.8 knowledge...
My Camaro was a 1996 RS 3.8L with the Y87 package (z28 without the V8). I bought it in 1999 with 28,000 and it is now sitting with 126,000. I chose to invest money into a new car because it was becoming a money pit. But the heart is still strong! That 3.8 is a freakin beast!
I can't wait for my days off because I have not properly introduced myself to the Monte
...more to come...
